The Kurt-Lindner-Haus

The Kurt-Lindner-Haus is located in the town centre and was acquired by the Library Friends Group in 1988. The Group maintains the house and gives significant subsidies to keep it running as a guest house for the library. Guests share the house with research fellows from the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Stöckheim, whose own Friends Group also contributes to the costs of the house. It is named after the first President of the Library Friends Group, Kurt Lindner.

Apartments

20 apartments of between 40 and 63 square metres:

8 large single apartments (for one person or a couple)

6 two-room apartments (for couples)

6 one-room apartments (single occupancy) in twinned units
in these apartments kitchen and bathroom are shared by both occupants

Description

The apartments are fully furnished and equipped with crockery, cutlery and household appliances. All apartments have kitchens and bathrooms with shower and WC. There are telephone sockets in each apartment, but guests are responsible for having phones connected by German Telecom. There is a central coin-operated telephone, which can also receive calls, in the house.
Rooms have internet access.

Extras

There is a common room with a television on the ground floor.

Linen

Towels and bed linen are supplied on arrival. There are coin-operated washing machines and driers available for use.

Price

Between 235 and 549 Euro per month, all inclusive.
In some cases a deposit of one month's rent will be required.

Arrival and departure

Arrivals are only possible on weekdays during normal office hours.
Apartments can only be reserved from the 1st or the 15th of each month.
On the day of departure apartments must be vacated by 10 am. Arrangements should be made to hand over keys to the Hausmeisterin.

Parking

There are a limited number of parking spaces in the courtyard behind the building
