Main research areas
As a laboratory of the humanities the Herzog August Bibliothek is a place where the cataloguing of the collections goes hand in hand with research based on them. The main research areas are closely connected to our collections. Currently, our focus is on the history of knowledge, the history of religious cultures, transregional networks, and on multiple processes of cultural transfer.
