Guest seminars

Guest seminars offer groups of university students from all historical disciplines the opportunity to work with rare books and manuscripts over a period of several days. This gives them experience of working with original sources and accustoms them to the materiality of the objects themselves and proper handling techniques. The Herzog August Bibliothek supplies not just the source material, but the appropriate rooms, technical equipment, its infrastructure and supervision by library staff.
