In this project the Sachsenspiegel book of Saxon law was digitised, catalogued in-depth and made available online in a multimedia format with the appropriate operating elements.
The task of the Fachhochschule’s computer centre was to develop and implement specific search techniques, expand and maintain the archival system and process and present the ‘Sachsenspiegel online’ in a multimedia format. The project was co-managed by the Herzog August Bibliothek and the Fachhochschule Braunschweig/Wolfenbüttel. The two institutions worked together to design the concept for the project and provide scholarly support and supervision.
