An edition of these sermons is a high priority on the research agenda given their outstanding significance in reception history. Unlike Tauler’s Sermons for Festivals (de sanctis), they have been intensely received by both confessions in the modern era.

The planned edition draws on source materials of central importance for research on Tauler and his reception. It should therefore provide a basis for future research by scholars of German literature, history and theology as well as for work in adjacent disciplines.

In cooperation with Evangelisch-Theologische Fakultät Universität Tübingen (Faculty of Protestant Theology, University of Tübingen), Prof. Volker Leppin and the Forschungsstelle für geistliche Literatur des Mittelalters an der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (Research Centre for Medieval Religious Literature, Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt), Prof. Rudolf Kilian Weigand
