Two main research areas – religion & emotion and historical image cultures – sharpen the profile of the Herzog August Bibliothek as an attractive and innovative location for international humanities and cultural studies. In a longer-term perspective and through projects, events and publications, current fields of research are developed and comprehensively investigated.
