These include not only short-term scholarly users and externally funded HAB project research groups but also participants in scholarly conferences and around 80 holders of fellowships offered each year as part of transnational development programmes run by the HAB.

The goal of the project was to ensure that the expertise of the scientific community at the HAB, which is constantly reconstituting itself, can be utilised to supply information beyond the region while also optimising the local virtual research environment. More specifically, it was about integrating the scholars working at the HAB into the library’s cataloguing activities in order to enhance the scope and quality of the content being catalogued in the Wolfenbüttel holdings not only of old printed works but also of independent and non-independent research literature.
