In conjunction with its consortium partners, the Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) has developed further content for tools such as the DARIAH-DE Collection Registry. The aim was to explore the opportunities and limitations of a standardised, interoperable, human- and machine-readable description of research data and scholarly collections. The HAB collaborated with the Marbach-Weimar-Wolfenbüttel Research Association (MWW) for this task. Further priorities are linking the specialist community and communicating what DARIAH-DE can offer by means of talks and workshops.

Moreover, the stakeholder board Wissenschaftliche Sammlungen (Scholarly Collections) was established at the HAB to act as a bridge between the digital research infrastructure project and external experts and to evaluate the extent to which cultural assets have been digitised.

Although funding has expired, DARIAH-DE was extended thanks to a cooperative agreement between the institutional partners. This ensures that the services and activities it offers can continue on a long-term basis. The HAB makes a contribution to the project by offering services such as training and consultancy, as well as hosting descriptions of collections. Parallel to this, CLARIAH-DE was established as a merger of CLARIN-D and DARIAH-DE.
